The Stevenson House in Bloomington (1900). It was the boyhood home of <a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/teemu08/8612073054/">Adlai E. Stevenson II.</a> Stevenson attended Bloomington High School and University High School. His father, Lewis Green Stevenson, was the Illinois Secretary of State from 1914-17. He married the granddaughter of Jesse W. Fell, a close friend of Abraham Lincoln and a founder of Illinois State University, thus enhancing the Stevenson family's political clout.
