The data is based on research by Philipp Leimgruber (University of Bern), Dominik Hangartner (Washington University) and Lucas Leemann (Columbia University), as part of the University of Lausanne's Swiss Electoral Studies (Selects), <a rel="nofollow" class="external free" href="http://www2.unil.ch/selects">http://www2.unil.ch/selects</a>, as published in Comparing Candidates and Citizens in the Ideological Space, <a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/j.1662-6370.2010.tb00439.x/abstract">Swiss Political Science Review 16(3)</a> pp. 499-531(33).
