GURNEE, Ill. (Aug. 23, 2007) - Tony Yarbrough, a retired chief petty officer and resident of Gurnee, Ill., assists Hospitalman Apprentice Christopher Rollins with filling sandbags for delivery to local homes and businesses. Due to heavy rains in the Midwest, Gurnee officials are anticipating the Des Plaines River will crest above flood stage. More than 300 sailors from Naval Station Great Lakes volunteered to fill sandbags to prevent flood waters from damaging businesses and residences in the downtown area.
