Vlak na de zondeval buigt Eva schaamtevol het hoofd en slaat de armen om haar borsten. Deze levensgrote, in gips gegoten 'Eva', werd in 1899 na Rodin-tentoonstelling in Rotterdam aan het museum geschonken. Het was de eerste Rodin in een Nederlandse collectie. Naar aanleiding van de schenking bezocht Rodin zelf Museum Boijmans.

Shortly after the Fall, Eva bends her head with shame and covers her breasts. This life-size, cast in plaster 'Eve' was given to the museum in 1899 after the Rodin exhibition. It was the first Rodin in a Dutch collection. Following the gift itself, Rodin paid Museum Boijmans a visit.
