Fred Karpoff

Fred Karpoff is an American pianist, music educator, and creator of the 3-D Piano Method of piano playing and teaching. Karpoff received his undergraduate education at Northwestern University, and his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Peabody Conservatory. He is currently Professor of Piano and Ensemble Arts and co-chair of the keyboard department at the Setnor School of Music, Syracuse University. For 3-D Piano Method: The Three-Dimensional Pianist, a "whole-body" approach distributed on a set of six DVDs, co-producers Karpoff and filmmaker Richard Breyer won the 2011 Frances Clark Keyboard Pedagogy Award presented by Music Teachers National Association.[1][2]
