GSP TV was a Romanian sports television that used to broadcast football from Liga I, Championship (England), Russian Premier League, Copa do Brasil, tennis tournaments, and other sport events, especially boxing and martial arts. It also broadcast live sport shows which were hosted by important figures in Romanian sports. In September 2012, the station was rebranded, under a new slogan, "Men in power!", and with TV shows destined for male audience (boxing, wrestling, MMA, bar sports – darts, poker, snooker).[1]
It was owned by the Intact group, the largest Romanian media group. GSP stands for Gazeta Sporturilor, the best-known sports publication in Romania, which is also owned by the Intact group.
In April 2014, GSP TV was closed. Intact uses its frequence for the new music station Zu TV.[citation needed]

Additional channels
Antena 1 (the primary channel of the Intact group), in a joint venture with RCS & RDS, had secured the broadcasting rights for the following three seasons of the Romanian top football division (the Liga I) in March 2008, which lead to the creation of three additional channels, called GSP TV 2, GSP TV 3 and GSP TV 4.[2] The reason was that some football games were scheduled by the LPF to be played at the same time.
Trivia
The promotional video had the Realitatea TV (a rival TV channel) as TV sponsor. LPF choose Realitatea TV as the TV partner though Antena 1 – RCS&RDS joint had bought the 2008–2009, 2009–2010 and 2010–2011 seasons of Liga I games, thus having the rights to broadcast them on their channel, GSP TV, the new sports television. The promotion of a TV channel on another rival channel never occurred before.
