Leptotyphlops blanfordii is a harmless blind snake species found in India and the Middle East. Named after William Thomas Blanford (1832–1905), member of the Geological Survey of India. No subspecies are currently recognized.[2]
Geographic range
Found in India, Pakistan (Baluchistan and North-West Frontier Province), Afghanistan, possibly Iran, south to Mecca through the Arabian Peninsula from Aden through Yemen. The type locality given is "Sind" [Punjab, India].[1]
