Granagh is noted within County Limerick for its very successful Amateur Drama society, who over the last 7 years have staged 8 extremely successful plays in the local Community hall. To date these have included Sive, Poor Beast in the Rain, The Field, The Shaughraun, Tarry Flynn, London Assurance, The Honey Spike & The Buds of Ballybunion

Granagh Ballingarry also have a highly successful camogie team, winners of numerous All-Ireland club titles.

Archaeology

The Blessed Well or St John's Well was a small holy well surrounded by thorn bushes inside north fence of road 400 yards west of Granagh Catholic church.[3] Construction of the creamery and concrete yard appears to have removed all traces of the holy well and no archaeological features or finds were uncovered in the monitored area.[4]
