Greater Jerusalem

Greater Jerusalem is the area encompassing the approximately one hundred square miles surrounding the Old City of Jerusalem. The expansion of Jerusalem under Israeli law followed its de facto annexation of the city in the aftermath of the 1967 Six-Day War, however such expansion has remained unrecognised by the International community which considers all Israeli migration and housing establishments in the area a violation of international law, labelling such housing projects Israeli settlements.
