Guoyu

Guoyu (simplified Chinese: 国语; traditional Chinese: 國語), or "national language" may refer to:

Language

• Guóyu or Standard Chinese, a standardized variety of Chinese
• Manchu language of the early Qing dynasty (1644-1911)
• Mongolian language of the Yuan dynasty (c. 1260–1370)
• Jurchen language of the Jin dynasty (1115–1234)
• Khitan language of the Liao dynasty (907–1125)
• Xianbei language of the Northern Wei dynasty (386–534)
• In South Korea the Korean language can be called as the "national language", Gugeo (국어); Hanja : 國語.
• In Japan the Japanese language can be called as the "national language", kokugo (こくご); shinjitai kanji : 国語 kyūjitai kanji : 國語.

Script

• The Vietnamese alphabet is known as national language script 𡨸國語 (chữ Quốc ngữ) in Vietnamese (which translates to 國語字 Guóyǔ zì in Chinese)
