Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves

Gustav Höhne (17 February 1893 – 1 July 1951) was a highly decorated General der Infanterie in the Wehrmacht during World War II who held commands at the division and corps levels. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Gustav Höhne was captured in 1945 by Allied troops and was held until 1947.
