Hereford Rugby Club is an English rugby union team based in Hereford, Herefordshire. The club operates four senior teams, a veterans team, a colts team and a full range of junior teams.[1] The first XV currently play in the sixth tier of the English rugby union system, the Midlands 1 West. They were relegated from National League 3 Midlands the previous season.

History

Hereford Rugby Club was formed in 1870 and a history of the club from its formation until 1989 – two years after the formal start of league rugby – can be found on the club's website.[2] The 2012–13 Season saw a return for the club's top try scorer Josh Walker, after a brief spell in Polish Rugby. Scott Robinson and James Parker have also returned to the club. The dynamic duo are two fluid players with bright futures ahead of them. Centre Tom Ewins has publicly stated that he would like his ashes to be scattered on the pitch when he dies, as the club is a part of him, along with his balding head. Veteran front row forward Jamie Bullock holds the world record for least yards made for scoring 6 tries with combined yards of 6 yards, averaging 1 yard made per try. This season also seen the return of Lewis Jordan, the dynamic ball-carying hooker, bringing an added dimension of strength and pace to the club.
