Marilyn Manson concert chronology

Hey Cruel World...Tour was the worldwide concert tour by American rock band Marilyn Manson. Launched in support of their eighth full-length studio LP, 2012's Born Villain, it is the band's thirteenth tour and marks the group's ninth tour to spread over multiple legs spanning over North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Oceania. The tour was named after a promotional single titled, "Hey Cruel World..." off of their album.

Rumors about the tour's itinerary began as early as June 3, 2011, when the Brazilian edition of the Portuguese broadsheet newspaper Destak published that agents for the band had finalized negotiations for the group to tour in Brazil and other South American countries as part of the SWU Music & Arts Festival in November 2011.[1] Despite this, the band's supposed inclusion in the roster failed to materialize.[1]

The tour's 2012 itinerary was confirmed on October 2011 to include an Australian leg from late February to early March as part of the 5-day 2012 Soundwave music festival.[2] After the Australian leg the tour will continue in Asia, North America and Europe. The tour includes Manson's first performances in the United States since mid-2009.[3]

Broadcasts & Recordings

Marilyn Mason's set was recorded at the ROCK AM RING festival in Germany on 1 June 2012, but so far only three song performances (Hey Cruel World, Personal Jesus and Antichrist Superstar) have emerged online.[citation needed]

A video album has been in the works since 2007, with concert footage being recorded at all subsequent tours since that time, It's unknown if the Hey Cruel World Tour Is included in this project or If the project has been cancelled due to Manson's split from Interscope.[citation needed]

The Hey Cruel World... Tour featured a 'tour within a tour' in the form of the Twins of Evil Tour. It was a double bill concert tour co-headlined by Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson. Launched in support of each band's respective full-length studio LPs, 2010's Hellbilly Deluxe 2 and Born Villain, the tour visited stadiums from September 28, 2012 through December 12, 2012. It was conceived as a followup tour for Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe 2 World Tour. It consisted of two legs covering concert dates the United States and Europe.

Possibility of a live album

In an Interview with Kerrang magazine, Manson shared his desire to record a live album out of the Twins of Evil Tour. He noted the enthusiastic audience reaction, his satisfaction with the present band lineup and "the way things sound live now."[citation needed]
