HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology is a nonprofit institute specialized in biotechnology research located in Huntsville, Alabama.

HudsonAlpha is an organization where scientists, educators, and entrepreneurs work to translate the power of human genome into real world results to create a healthier and more sustainable human society.[1]

History and discoveries

HudsonAlpha institute opened in 2008, and since then it secured its role as a global leader in biotechnology and genomic research. The institute made discoveries in ALS[2], childhood genetic disorders and kidney cancer; expanded research in bipolar and schizophrenia and continued critical research in other devastating conditions, including cancer, Parkinson’s disease, lupus, multiple sclerosis among others.
