Institute of Development and Technology (English: Institute of Development and Technology) (earlier Instituto Nokia de Tecnologia) , also usually referred to as INDT, is a non-profit organization aimed on research and development of mobile software and telecommunication technology. INDT was founded in Brazil by Nokia in October 2001 with incentive funds from the Brazilian Law on Information Technology. INDT is independent of Nokia and receives funding from services provided to clients and from fiscal exemption benefits established by the Law of Information Technology. INDT has three R&D centers in Brazil (located in Brasilia and Manaus) and a satellite office in São Paulo.[1]
