International Business College is a small, for-profit career college located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The institution was founded in 1889 and is now located in the Village at Coventry. IBC awards diplomas, associate degrees, and bachelor’s degrees. The college states that it focuses on job placement for graduates and that financial aid is available for those who qualify.

Academics

International Business College provides career-focused courses to high school graduates. IBC’s programs generally offer hands-on learning opportunities that help prepare graduates to start working immediately. Some programs offer externships as well. Students can graduate in 8–12 months by earning a diploma. Associate degree programs can be completed in 16–18 months and bachelor’s degree programs can take as little as 30 months. Some programs are offered in both daytime or evening classes.

IBC groups its twelve major areas of study into three main categories: Business, Technology, and Health Care. These major areas are listed below.

IBC’s newest offering is the veterinary technician program (ftwayne.vettechinstitute.edu), which features new facilities designed for the program. Vet tech students have access to an in-house kennel boarding a variety of animals.

The Medical Assisting Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP, http://www.caahep.org).
