International Microbiology is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Spanish Society for Microbiology; it publishes articles on all aspects of microbiology. The society has published a journal since 1934 (Microbiología Española (1947-1986) and Microbiología SEM (1986–1998) were the predecessors).
Editorial board
The current associate editors (2010) include Lynn Margulis of the University of Massachusetts Amherst and John Skehel of the British National Institute for Medical Research. The editorial board includes Roberto Kolter, Rita R. Colwell, and James A. Shapiro.
