Nanterre 92 is a professional basketball club from the city of Nanterre, France. The club has played in the top basketball league in France, the LNB Pro A, since 2011.

History

The club played in the French 2nd Division for the first time in the 2004-05 season. In 2007, the club made it to the finals of the French Cup. In 2011, the club won the French 2nd Division, and got promoted to the top national French League.

Climbing to the French Top (2012–present)

In the 2012–13 French League season, after finishing in the eight position of the regular season, JSF Nanterre won its first national title and thus qualified to play in the Euroleague in the 2013–14 season.

In the 2013–14 season, Nanterre didn't manage to reach the Playoffs after finishing 10th in the Pro A season. Despite the disappointments in the competition, JSF won the French Cup this season. SLUC Nancy was beaten 55–50 in the Final. In the Leaders Cup, JSF reached the Final but lost to Le Mans Sarthe Basket. Nanterre also made its debut in the Euroleague.

To start the 2014–15 season, Nanterre won the Match des Champions. On April 26, 2015, Nanterre won its first European trophy. In the 2015 EuroChallenge Final, it beat Trabzsonspor 63–64 on a buzzer-beater by T.J. Campbell.[1]

In February 2016, the team name was changed to Nanterre 92.[2]
