James Heappey is a British Conservative Party politician. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wells since May 2015.[1]

He grew up in Nailsea and went to Queen Elizabeth's Hospital in Bristol and then attended the University of Birmingham.[2][3][4] He lives in Axbridge.[5]

Before standing for parliament he was previously a soldier in The Rifles rising to the rank of Major.[6][7] He worked as a researcher for Liam Fox.[5]
