John Markus Lervik

John Markus Lervik (born 17 August 1969) is a Norwegian businessperson.

He is the Founder of Cxense, a company in the ad-platform, search and online analytics space.[1]

He was previously the chief executive of the Norwegian company Fast Search & Transfer ASA, and was Corporate VP of Enterprise Search in Microsoft Corp. Lervik has a Ph.D in the field of tele-engineering from Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway, of which he was granted the Esso Research Award in 1998.

He was on Forbes E-gang: Masters of Information published in September 2005.[2]

He is a fellow of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences.[3]

February 10, 2014 he was sentenced to two years in prison for fraud and accounting irregularities.[4] The charges were based on his actions while being CEO at Fast Search & Transfer ASA.[5]
