Kanzy Emad El-Defrawy (born May 5, 1994) is an Egyptian squash player.

Personal life
El-Defrawy was born in Cairo on May 5, 1994. She reached a career-high ranking of World No. 27 in December 2011 Women's International Squash Professional Association (WISPA) competition. El Defrawy is the daughter of Hilton's General Manager, Mr. Emad El Defrawy and the tennis star, Nevine Essam ElBaz. She was born and raised in Cairo and began playing Squash at age seven at the Heliopolis Club, where she continues to be based. She has three younger sisters who also play squash and participate in many national and international tournaments. Defrawy is trilingual, speaking Arabic, French and English.
Squash career
Junior tournaments
Defrawy has won more than 70 national titles in U11 to U19. Defrawy was runner up of the British Junior Open in 2009 and 2012. In 2008 and 2010 she was awarded the champion of the world team's title. Defrawy has many wins in Junior Opens. She won the Pioneer Junior Open 4 times, along with 5 wins in the Dutch Junior Open. Defrawy also won the French and German Junior Opens along with the Arab and African cups.
She was ranked World No. 5 for U19 in 2008 and 2010. Defrawy reached a career highest ranking of World No. 27 in December 2011.[1][2]
Defrawy began competing internationally at age 13. However, she underwent knee surgery at the age of 14. While recovering from the surgery, Defrawy channeled her rehabilitation efforts and began to seriously improve her squash game.[3]
College career
Defrawy was recruited at the age of 16 to attend the prestigious Trinity College in Connecticut, USA. As a freshman she led the team as the No. 1 to a triumphant season, easily taking the NESCAC championship. Trinity clenched second place in the CSA's National Women's Squash Competition, a championship they had not had the opportunity to attain in eight years. In the CSA Individual Competition, Defrawy put up a valiant fight against USA's No. 1 ranked player, Amanda Sohby, but was ultimately defeated.
In 2013, as a Freshman, Defrawy was named both NESCAC player of the year and rookie of the year. She was also appointed to the all NESCAC first team. Trinity's women's squash coach Wendy Bartlett was also named NESCAC coach of the year that season, her first time receiving this title in the 29 seasons she has coached at Trinity.
After her success at the CSA individual tournament, Defrawy is ranked No. 2 in the United States. She is also currently ranked as the No. 6 women's player in Egypt.
Youtube and News Fame
In January 2015, Defrawy has participated in the TOC (Tournament of Champions) Professional Tournament held in Grand Central Station in NYC. There, Defrawy astonished the crowd with her dive series where she dove four times in a row to save four balls in the same point. Defrawy was mentioned in SkyNews, BBC News, The Business Insider, as well as 27 other news channels. The video has a total of 4 Million views and was the trending topic on applications such as Twitter. The match was against number six in the world Camille Serme from France who defeated Defrawy in a very close four setter in a 59minutes battle.
