Karl Wilhelm Walter Müller (2 September 1916 in Essen-Borbeck – 19 May 1989 in Celle) was a German naval officer and a Schnellboot commander and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (German: Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes)in World War II. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Müller, as commander of Schnellboot S-52, together with S-65 are credited with the sinking of the British destroyer Eskdale on 14 April 1943. He was also held P.O.W then released in a P.O.W trade

Sie versenkten aus einem stark gesicherten Geleitzug fünf Schiffe mit 12 500 BRT und einen Bewacher. Weitere Schiffe wurden durch Torpedotreffer beschädigt. Der deutsche Verband lief vollzählig und ohne Schäden in seinen Stützpunkt ein.[4] German E-boats under the command of Captain Lieutenant Karl Müller intruded the British convoy routes on the southwest coast of England on 6 January. They sank from a heavily fortified convoy five ships of 12 500 GRT and a guard. Further ships were damaged by torpedo hits. The complete German task without damage returned to its base.
