Khairatabad (Telugu: ఖైరతాబాదు) is in Hyderabad, India. It has a major road junction of five roads called the Khairatabad circle, among the busiest in the city. The roads leading from the junction are towards and from Somajiguda, Ameerpet, Hussain sagar, Lakdi-ka-pul, and Anandnagar. One such extension of Khairatabad circle is the Raj Bhavan Road, where the residence of the Governor of Telangana is located.[1] There are many notable institutions and organizations that include Institution of Engineers, Administrative Staff College of India, Road Transport Authority (RTA), TSTRANSCO & TSGENCO, HMWS&SB, PATEL BUILDING, Nasr School, Zilla Parishad, ZEE Telefilms, Press Club, Laymen's Evangelical Church Shadan Group of Educational Institutions etc.,[2]

The Vishweshwaraiah flyover starts at the circle and leads to Hussain sagar lake.

The area is named after a Khairunnissa whose tomb is located next to the Khairtabad Mosque though the access is to the backside of the monument. (Speculation) This tomb could be of Khair-un-Nissa, the wife of Captain James Achilles Kirkpatrick mentioned in the 2002 book White Mughals by William Dalrymple, though the book doesn't mention any such tomb. You can also see 300 years old Reddy's house(Surname:Maramaganti) PATEL BUILDING.
