Kids Help Phone
From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
Kids Help Phone (Jeunesse, J’écoute in French), is Canada's only free, professional counselling service available for youth in every Canadian community. It provides anonymous phone and online counselling, as well as information services for children and youth.[1] Founded May 16, 1989, the service provides counselling to youth who seek it by calling a toll-free number or posting anonymously on their website.
As a charity, Kids Help Phone receives no core government or United Way funding. Instead, it relies on the support of community-based volunteers and individual and corporate donors for financial support.[citation needed]
