Kitani Mohobbat Hai 2 (Hindi: कितनी मोहब्बत है) (English: How much I love you) is the second season of the popular serial Kitani Mohabbat Hai starring Kritika Kamra and Karan Kundra but is not a continuation or sequel to the first season plot.

Synopsis

The new season tells the story of two diverse families and individuals. Arjun Singhania (Karan Kundra) is quiet and an introvert while Aarohi Ahluwalia (Kritika Kamra) is vibrant and chirpy. Aarohi's world revolves around her family of sincere and honest police officers while Arjun is the son of a white collared criminal. Yet when cupid strikes, love has no rules and knows no laws. Kitani Mohabbat Hai II follows Arjun and Aarohi's love story budding under the most unfavourable circumstances, with very interesting twists. Major parts of this series are exactly similar to the movie Hero by Subhash Ghai starring Jackie Shroff.

Plot

Aarohi belongs to a police family where she is the apple of everyone's eye, while Arjun is the adopted son of a renounced Don; everyone in the family uses him except his elder sister, youngest brother and grandmother. Arjun's family is at loggerheads with Aarohi's family due to something that happened between Aarohi's grandfather and Arjun's father. Aarohi begins to hate Arjun after she meets him as the person who never reciprocated the love of her best friend Gauri. Gauri gets married to Aarohi's uncle, while Arjun and Aarohi share heated attraction and initially hate each other Aarohi's grandfather finally puts Arjun's father in jail, but Arjun has other plans. He kidnaps Aarohi and her friend, Shefali and will only return them if his Dad is let free. However, the girls are unaware of this and believe that Arjun and his friends are the policemen Aarohi's grandfather ordered, to escort them to safety. Whilst hidden in the jungle Arjun and Aarohi slowly fall in love. Meanwhile, Cheeku (Aarohi's fiance) helps to find Aarohi. When he suggests the criminals may be hiding Aarohi in the jungle, the policemen of Aarohi's family immediately drive into the jungle to start searching.

After they confess their love, Arjun and Aarohi go travelling on their own. Aarohi just misses her family's search party and is still unaware of Arjun's fake identity. A couple notices them and take them in. Arjun and Aarohi tell them that they are not married but that Arohi is pregnant. The old couple decide to get them married straight away.

Aarohi's entire family is grieving because they cannot find her. The wedding is going on. Aarohi's grandfather and grandmother go to visit the special couple. Unaware that the bride is their granddaughter, they leave. But whilst they're on the road they remember about the wedding present they forgot to give and turn back. Before the wedding takes place, Aarohi realizes she does not know Arjun very well. The grandfather interrupts and informs Aarohi who Arjun really is. He tells her that Arjun is from a family of criminals, he isn't a policeman, and Aarohi is a tool whom he is using to release his father from jail. Feeling betrayed and hurt, Aarohi returns to her family and agrees to marry Cheeku.

Arjun tries to apologize to Aarohi. She rejects him and carries on with her marrying Cheeku. He tries to lead a good life to prove to Aarohi that he loves her. His sister, Rashi, talks with Aarohi in private, telling her that Arjun is truly in love with her. Gauri gets jealous and starts arguing with Arjun's sister. Aarohi, Guari and Rashi are near the staircase. Gauri pushes her off where she bleeds and loses the baby she was pregnant with. Arjun blames Aarohi for this as everyone is unaware that it was Gauri who pushed his sister — even Aarohi doesn't realise it was her friend.

As payback, Arjun interrupts Aarohi and Cheeku's wedding — threatening her that he will get his revenge. He locks Cheeku in a storeroom and puts his wedding clothes on, pretending to be Cheeku. No one knows it is Arjun because his face is covered. Now that they are married, and the whole family is shocked. Aarohi and her family are devastated as he says he will not divorce her; his revenge is by showing off his marriage to the world and embarrassing Aarohi's family who have caused his family so much pain. Aarohi decides to get her revenge and lands in Arjun's house as his wife to torture the family members. Slowly they again rekindle their lost feelings, and yet are too egoistic to admit it. Aarohi reveals the true womanizer character of Arjun's brother-in-law and saves Arjun's sister, while Arjun and Aarohi take the role of parents to raise the illegitimate child of Arjun's brother-in-law.

Arjun's dad asks him to marry a young woman from London who is the daughter of his business partner. Arjun refuses. He tries to tell Aarohi about this. He repairs Mr. Softy Ahluwalia (a teddy bear) and gives it to her. Aarohi is very happy and hugs him. Arohi's cell rang and she starts talking with Dhondu. This makes Arjun jealous and he lies to Aarohi and says he said yes to the London woman. Aarohi feels very bad and she lies to Arjun that she loves Dhondu. Dhondu tells Aarohi that he loves Archana and she is going to get married to Jay, who is Arjun's best friend. When Aarohi learns that her paternal aunt is the wedding planner she asks her to write the name of Dhondu as a photographer so that Dhondu can stay with Archana. Jay comes to know that someone is after Archana and tells Arjun. Arjun says there is nothing to worry about — he will handle everything. Arjun starts thinking very nasty things about Dhondu and Aarohi.Arjun tells Arohi he loves her and says they should think about a future together, but Arohi fails to say she too loves him as she has promised Dhondhu that she will keep on this drama of them being together to help him get Archana, and she can't tel Arjun about Archana and Dhondhu as Jay is Arjun's friend.While Arjun feels heartbroken and angry, Arohi is devastated for breaking Arjun's heart when she too actually loves him a lot, and wants to be with him forever. When Dhondu and Archana are finally united, Aarohi thought that she will tell everything to Arjun. Arjun learns the truth but does not forgive Aarohi. On that night, Aarohi tells Arjun that he has to believe in her love or she will commit suicide. Arjun tells Aarohi that he loves her, and they are finally united. Their happiness doesn't last long. Aarohi's grandfather comes to the Singhania house and tells her that their divorce had been finalised. Aarohi tries to tell her Daddu that she loves Arjun. Arjun promises her that he will come to take her in two days. There in her house Gauri tells Aarohi that she will distract her family. Gauri distracts them to send her to Canada. She tells Arjun's father that he has to send Arjun somewhere for 12 hours so that he can not come to take Aarohi. Aarohi will reach Canada and they will just take her passport. But this never happens as Arjun comes and stops Aarohi from going. The next day when Arjun leaves Singhania's house and comes to take Aarohi, Aarohi's uncle and father stop Arjun at the door and beat him.

Inside Aarohi tells everyone the truth of Gauri and that she still loves Arjun. Gauri tries to prove Aarohi wrong. She tells everyone that she has a CD of Jay's marriage functions where Aarohi was trying to flirt with Arjun and Dhondu. She brings the wrong CD and plays it. It shows that Gauri pushed Rashi from the stairs and forced Arjun to take the wrong path again. Gauri is thrown out of the house. Aarohi's grandfather announces Arjun and Arohi's wedding is next day. When Arjun's father, Rudra, learns about this, he thinks that he will tell Arjun everything about his past, and he will be not be able to resist it. Rudra gives a file to Arjun and asks him to read it in his free time. Arjun goes to Aarohi and tells her about the file. When they are about to read it, Aarohi's bua enters and takes Arjun to the lobby. Arjun is not able to read it. Instead Aarohi reads the file. In it was written that Arohi's grandfather wronged Arjun's mother which led to her death. This secret only Rudra and Aarohi's parents know. But Aarohi's parents kept it a secret because they knew that if Aarohi's grandfather came to know the truth he would surrender himself to police. Aarohi decides that Arjun should know this and she goes to tell him everything.

Arjun then notices a photo (his mother's). Suddenly Aarohi comes, and he is distracted. Later on Arjun learns that his mom was innocent and died. Arjun decides to go and kill Kartar — Aarohi stops him. Aarohi tells Arjun that she can't see him again going on the track of crime. Arjun promises that he will never do it again. Meanwhile, Kartar has been shot by someone else with Arjun's gun, having his fingerprints. Everyone starts thinking that Arjun has killed Kartar and he is sent to jail. Aarohi finds a lawyer for Arjun named Ram Panjabi who can't live without drinking. He finds proof for Arjun. On the day of judgment, Ram is killed. There is no evidence left for Arjun, and he is sent to jail for life. Aarohi makes a plan to rescue him from the jail. Arjun disagrees and tells her that half his life he has broken laws, but now he will not do so.

Both make out of the way from Rajveer and run away. Rajveer makes a vow of being able to find them and, until he does, he will not rest in peace. Halfway through the journey to Shimla, Arjun's motorbike runs out of petrol and Arjun and Aarohi are stuck in the middle of nowhere. It gets very cloudy, and thunder and lightning start. This makes Aarohi scared and Arjun happy as he gets closer to her. They go inside a hut as it is about to rain. As all the newspapers, channels were showing their pictures, Sanchit (Arohi's uncle's son) hears the location and informs everyone. They all go to Shimla through a shortcut; but Rajveer reaches there first. He learns where they are as the killer told him about them. They share an intense moment and beautiful hug until Rajveer finds them. Accidentally the house Arjun and Arohi has taken a shelter in catches fire, and while Arjun succeeds to escape the fire with Arohi, they get caught by Rajveer and are locked in jail in two adjacent cell.They try to cheer each other up as very soon Arohi will be sent to woman's prison and they'll be able to meet rarely.This separation kills them inside and they wonder if their love story will never get its happy ending.Kartar finally wakes up from coma and tells everyone that Arjun never shot him, it was someone else with a hawk tattoo. Rajveer and other Aluwalia family members feel extremely guilty and decide to patch up with Arjun Arohi and apologise.Arjun and Arohi get free by Kartar's statement, but they feel the family has still not forgiven them as they had not turn up to see them in the court.Disappointed, they decide to start a life in Arjun's mother's old house, while the family members reach the court late due to some traffic problems, and are sad to find Arjun Arohi has left.

Mikhail (Arjun's brother) knows, he comes to kill them both.Its revealed he is the one who shot Kartar Aluwalia to frame Arjun as he has always despised Arjun, and After a fight, Mikhail makes Arjun unconscious. Mikhail turns to Aarohi and aims the gun at her. Just in time, Rajveer arrives and pushes Aarohi away from the gun. A bullet hits Rajveer instead; he fatally shoots Mikhail. A few days later Rajveer comes back to the Alhuwalia house and is surprised to see Arjun and Aarohi waiting for him. He feels bad for everything he said and did to them.

Arjun and Aarohi finally get officially married and live happily ever after.
