Konstantinovsky District (Russian: Константи́новский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,197 square kilometers (848 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Konstantinovsk.[1] Population: 33,159 (2010 Census);[3] 36,595 (2002 Census);[6] 36,741 (1989 Census).[7] The population of Konstantinovsk accounts for 54.1% of the district's total population.[3]
