Kurganinsky District (Russian: Курга́нинский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Krasnodar Krai, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Kurganinsky Municipal District.[2] It is located in the east of the krai. The area of the district is 1,590 square kilometers (610 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Kurganinsk.[1] Population: 103,036 (2010 Census);[3] 103,999 (2002 Census);[6] 93,811 (1989 Census).[7] The population of Kurganinsk accounts for 46.6% of the district's total population.[3]
