Leopold Schrems (4 October 1922 – 8 July 2008) was a highly decorated Unteroffizier der Reserve in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Leopold Schrems was captured by American forces in May 1945 and was held until August of that year.
