The Limerick Desmond League (currently Limerick Desmond Premier League) exist since January 1955, is an amateur association football league covering the part of County Limerick west of the N20. The clubs who attended this meeting to establish the league were - A.F.C. Askeaton, Killonan F.C., Newcastle West F.C. and Tralee Dynamos F.C.. The latter left following the formation of the Kerry District League in 1971.
