The following is a list of captains of the Australia national soccer team.

The first Australia captain was Alex Gibb: he captained Australia in the first ever international match, against New Zealand on 17 June 1922. He went on to captain Australia on six further occasion, all against New Zealand during 1922 and 1923. Gibb also captained Australia in their first international on home soil, 9 June 1923, and was the first international captain to win a match. Lucas Neill has the record together with Peter Wilson for most captaincies of Australia, with 61.[1]

This list contains only players who have started full international matches as captain.

Bold denotes the incumbent captain.
