The Dutch, aided by their skills in shipping, map making, finance and trade, traveled to every corner of the world and left their language embedded in names of places they visited, many of which are still in use today.

To be included in this list, the place must have an article on Wikipedia or must have inline references showing the name is or was indeed Dutch.
