Loong Air (simplified Chinese: 长龙航空; traditional Chinese: 長龍航空; pinyin: Chánglóng Hángkōng) is a Chinese airline with its headquarters in the Loong Air Office Building on the property of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang.[1] Its main hub is in Hangzhou. Approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, it started domestic services in 2013.[2] On 25 September 2013, the airline signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus for the purchase of 20 Airbus A320 twin-engined aircraft.[2]

The company's full name is Zhejiang Loong Airlines Co. Ltd. It was originally a cargo airline named CDI Cargo Airlines (simplified Chinese: 长龙国际货运航空公司; traditional Chinese: 長龍國際貨運航空公司; pinyin: cháng lóng guó jì huò yùn háng kōng gōng sī),[3] which started services in 2012 with one Boeing 737-300F freighter.[4]

Fleet

As of 2015, the Loong Air fleet consisted of the 9 brand new Airbus A320-200 and Airbus A320neo aircraft, the following aircraft with an average age of 0.8 years. The Loong Air fleet includes the following aircraft (As of 2015):[5]

Destinations

Loong Air serves the Chinese domestic market with Hangzhou as its hub. Its first flight started on 29 December 2013 from Hangzhou to Chongqing and Hangzhou to Shenzhen.[10]
