The MV Kaleetan is a Super Class ferry operated by Washington State Ferries.
The Kaleetan(meaning arrow in Chinook) is named for a mountain peak northwest of Snoqualmie Pass. The Kaleetan went into service in early 1968 serving Seattle - Winslow, and was transferred north to the Anacortes - San Juan Islands route in the mid 1970s. The boat will typically operate on the Anacortes/San Juan Islands route in the summer and then move to the more southern Seattle-Bremerton route for the rest of the year.
