ZeniMax Sweden AB (formerly MachineGames Sweden AB), doing business as MachineGames, is a Swedish video game developer based in Uppsala, Sweden. It was founded in 2009 by Fredrik Ljungdahl, Jerk Gustafsson, Jens Matthies, Jim Kjellin, Kjell Emanuelsson, Magnus Högdahl and Michael Wynne, who were all key members of Starbreeze Studios. All members previously worked on The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (2004) and The Darkness (2007).[1]

In November 2010, MachineGames was acquired by Bethesda Softworks's parent company ZeniMax Media and renamed ZeniMax Sweden AB.[2] MachineGames developed Wolfenstein: The New Order (2014) and its prequel, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood (2015), using the id Tech 5 game engine.[3]
