Marianín
Mariano "Marianin" Arias Chamorro (born 18 May 1946) is a Spanish footballer who played as a forward in La Liga in the 1970s. He was born in Fabero, León.[1]
After starting his career with local team CA Bembibre he moved to Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa in 1967,[2] before a further transfer to Real Oviedo in 1972. In the 1972–73 La Liga season he was the league's top goalscorer and thus won the Pichichi Trophy, becoming the second player from Oviedo to win this award.[3] The following season Oviedo were relegated, but he remained with them and they were promoted back to La Liga as champions in 1974-75.[4] He left Oviedo in 1977.[4] In total he scored 34 goals for Oviedo in La Liga in 70 appearances, and he scored 65 goals for them in all competitions.[3]
He made a single appearance for the Spain national football team, coming on as a substitute against Turkey on 17 October 1973.[5]
