Moorends is a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster (part of South Yorkshire, England), on the border with Lincolnshire. It is part of the civil parish of Thorne, which lies to the south.

The legendary goalkeeper Ted Sagar was born in Moorends in 1910.
Currently (2011) Moorends has 3 fish and chip shops, 2 pizza shops, 2 Indian restaurants and 2 Chinese takeaways.
It is also home to one pub, and two private members clubs. It is referred to as the gateway to the moors, with Grange Road offering access to the Humberhead Levels National Nature Reserve (Thorne Moors)
