Muhammad Saeed Noori
Muhammad Saeed Noori is founder and President of prominent Indian Sunni organisation Raza Academy, which is based in Mumbai. He is Sunni leader and activist subscribing to Barelvi Movement.He,through Raza Academy, has published thousands of books, treaties and journals. He has also done relief and charitable activities during Gujarat Riots, Bareilly riots, Kashmir flood and in Nepal earthquake. Through his efforts massive rallies and protest have been organised around the country under the banner of Raza Academy.

Establishment of Raza Academy
Saeed Noori, on the order of Sunni Barelvi leader Maulana Mustafa Raza Khan Qadri, established Raza Academy with the help of like-minded Sunni Muslims to carry forward mission of Ala Hazrat Ahmed Raza Khan Qadri Barelvi. Over the years, the Academy set up 32 centres across India, and became a voice of the country’s Sunni community. From creating educational awareness, to protesting against the violence against the minorities, we have always been at the fore, said Noori, and added that their protests have always been peaceful.[1]
Movement against Quran burning
He organised and started for a movement against the call to observe Burn Quran Day by Florida Dove Church. his leadership various Sunni organisations met Indian Foreign Minister Mr.S.M Krishna on this issue and organised protest against it. During protest, he said that this action has exposed the real face of Church which is hiding its face in the several cases of sexual harassment of innocent children. Pseudo Pastors wearing costly wardrobes and talking about respect, mercy and love are starting a new type of war in the world by ordering the publicly burning a religious book of other religion. The silence of their chief authority Pope on this highly sensitive issue is also criminal. He has to be very clear here, either support this dirty face of Church or oppose it in highest terms. We demand an immediate interference in this matter from Pope and from Barack H.Obama.[2]
Relief Work
He has undertaken various relief and charity works through out country on various occasion and moment. Very recently he visited Nepal to help earthquake victim.
- Assam Relief
He formed Sunni Relief Committee in association with All India Sunni Jamiat ul Ulema to help and distribute relief materials worth of 50 lacs collected from various parts of West Bengal and Maharashtra among the riot victims in Assam.[3]
- Bhiwandi Relief
He distributed relief during communal riot in Bhiwandi of Mumbai in 1984worth rupees 150 lacs.[4]
Sufism
He has helped organised several big and small conferences and seminars on Sufism and Sunnism. He is of the view that Sufism teaches communal harmony, love and brotherhood and it is essential to spread this message in the society to develop a society based on mutual trust and cooperation.[5]
