"Nacida para amar" (Spanish pronunciation: [naˈθiða ˈpaɾa aˈmar], "Born to Love") was the Spanish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1989, performed in Spanish by Nina.

Just like Paloma San Basilio's 1985 entry "La fiesta terminó", the song was composed by Juan Carlos Calderón, internationally best known for writing Mocedades' "Eres tú" in 1973, a song that only finished second in the actual Contest but still went on to become a worldwide hit.

"Nacida para amar" is a sensual love song, with Nina describing a romantic night with her lover. She thanks him for that special night they spent "body-to-body" and says that she is very grateful for their relationship.

"Nacida para amar" was performed sixteenth on the night, following France's Nathalie Pâque with "J'ai volé la vie" and preceding Cyprus's Fani Polymeri & Yannis Savvidakis with "Apopse As Vrethume". At the close of voting, it had received 88 points, placing 6th in a field of 22.

It was succeeded as Spanish representative at the 1990 Contest by Azúcar Moreno with "Bandido".

Luis Miguel version

Mexican singer Luis Miguel's 1990 album 20 Años includes a cover of the song titled "Amante del Amor", keeping the same melody but with altered lyrics.
