Naomi Ellemers

Naomi Ellemers (born January 31, 1963 in Amsterdam)[1] is a professor of social psychology and organisations and distinguished professor at Utrecht University since September 2015.[2]

Ellemers was professor of social and organizational psychology at Leiden University from 1999 to 2015.

Her research focuses on the interaction between group-membership and individual affect and cognition. It considers why and how individuals take on group membership, and their interaction with members of those groups.

Since 2011 Ellemers is a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences.[3]
