New Adventures is a British dance company, specialising in contemporary dance. Founded by the choreographer Matthew Bourne in 2002, the company developed from an earlier company Adventures in Motion Pictures, which was later dissolved.

Adventures in Motion Pictures

Adventures in Motion Pictures (AMP), was a dance company formed in 1987 by a group of students from Laban, a leading vocational dance school based in London, England. The company began as a repertory ensemble, staging a variety of small scale works produced by different choreographers. It was particularly noted for works created by Matthew Bourne. Some of the company's better-known works include Infernal Galop, Deadly Serious, Spitfire, Town and Country and its revisions of classical ballets such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Cinderella. Possibly as a result of his individual success, Bourne left the company in 2001 to form New Adventures. AMP was dissolved in 2004, with all performance rights for Bourne's works transferred to New Adventures.

In 2002 Bourne broke away to form New Adventures for whose debut he created Play Without Words
