North Upper Saxon (German: Nordobersächsisch ) is a Central German dialect spoken in Eastern Germany. It borders to Upper Saxon German, Lausitzisch-Neumärkisch, Thuringian dialect and Brandenburgisch.[1][2]
It is spoken in an area around Leipzig, where Low German used to be spoken. It can be divided into Osterlandic, mansfeldische Dialektfläche, fuhnische Dialektfläche and dübener Dialektfläche. [3]
