Novella Nikolayevna Matveyeva (Russian: Новелла Николаевна Матвеева) (born October 7, 1934, Detskoye Selo, Russia) is a Russian bard (singer-songwriter), poet, writer, screenwriter, dramatist, and literary scientist.

Her first collection of poetry was publishhed in 1961, the same year she was admitted to the Union of Soviet Writers.

Since the end of the 1950s, Novella Matveyeva has been composing songs to her poetry and performing them, accompanying herself on a seven-string guitar.

In 1998, Novella Matveyeva received the Russian State Pushkin Prize in poetry, and in 2002, she also received the Russian Federation State Prize in Literature and Arts for her poetry collection Jasmine.
