Career

Holt began her acting career when she started performing in local theater productions.[9] She has appeared in several television commercials, including Hasbro, Kidz Bop 14, Mattel, Bratz dolls,[10] Littlest Pet Shop, and Girl Gourmet products.[11] Holt auditioned for Disney XD's martial arts show Kickin' It, which premiered in 2011. Possessing skills in gymnastics, she received a call back from the producers and joined the cast in the same year. She portrayed the role of Kim in the series from 2011 to 2014. Holt starred in the Disney Channel original film Girl vs. Monster. She plays the lead character Skylar Lewis, a teenage girl that discovers her family have long worked as monster hunters, and she's next in line. The film premiered in October 2012.[12] She recorded three songs for the film, which were released as part of the Make Your Mark: Ultimate Playlist. She also recorded her version of "Winter Wonderland" for the Disney Channel Holiday Playlist album in 2012.

Holt also starred in the Disney Channel show I Didn't Do It. Production for the show began in the summer of 2013 and the show first aired in 2014. Her role, Lindy Watson was a geeky, nerdy, an outcast, and athletic girl. The series follows five friends, including Holt.[13] The series ended on October 16, 2015, after two seasons.[14][15] In October 2014, Holt signed a record deal with Hollywood Records.[3]
