Ollur Assembly Constituency

Ollur Assembly Constituency is a legislative assembly constituency in the Indian state of Kerala.[1][2]Ollur is a citadel of Indian National Congress for a long time but occasionally it had gone to Communist Party of India. The Ollur Assembly Constituency has 84,452 male and 90,027 female voters. The voters of Ollur Constituency are mainly famers and daily workers. The Constituency includes Mannuthy, Thalore and the hilly regions of Western Ghats. Tile factories, Timber and wooden packing boxes, Rolled gold ornaments are the main businesses which occur in this Constituency. Peechi Dam, Kerala Agricultural University, B.Ed College, Ollur Industrial Estate are also situated in Ollur Constituency. Christian people and church play a decisive role in electoral process of the Constituency. [3][4]
