One Africa Television

One Africa Television is Namibia's first successful commercial free-to-air television station.[1] It is the brainchild of Namibian photographer and businessman Paul van Schalkwyk.

One Africa Television is a fully commercial, free-to-air television station in Namibia, receiving no state subsidies.

Originally covering only Windhoek, Rehoboth and Okahandja, One Africa Television has grown significantly. One Africa Television was broadcast via 29 analogue transmitters across Namibia. In 2013, One Africa Television joined the digital age. The station is now available on Digital Terrestrial Television on the Namibian Broadcast Corporations' Network as well as on the Multi-choice's DSTV Namibia platform.

One Africa Television broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and carries a range of programs selected for relevance to the Namibian television viewing public.

One Africa Television founder and group chairman, Paul van Schalkwyk, was killed in a plane crash on the 10th of March 2014.[2]
