Pakistan Quarters

Pakistan Quarters is one of the neighbourhoods of Jamshed Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.[1]


After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, thousands of Muslim migrated to Pakistan and faced housing crisis. In 1953, Prime Minister Muhammad Ali Bogra had initiated the housing scheme for the refugeess including Pakistan Quarters.[2]

There are several ethnic groups including Muhajirs, Punjabis, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, Memons, Bohras Ismailis and Christians.
