Pakistan is scheduled to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016. This is the first time when Pakistan hockey team has failed to qualify for the Olympics. Pakistan hockey team was not present at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow but it was due to Pakistan had boycotted the games participating in Olympic boycott.

Judo

Pakistan has qualified one judoka for the men's half-heavyweight category (100 kg) at the Games, signifying the nation's Olympic debut in judo. Hussain Shah earned a continental quota spot from the Asian region as Pakistan's top-ranked judoka based on points in the IJF World Ranking List of May 30, 2016.[1]
