Palme I Cabinet
The government Felddin I was the Swedish government between October 8, 1976 and October 18, 1978. It was a coalition government consisting of the three non-socialist parties the Center Party, the Moderates and the People's Party. Prime Minister of the Government was the Center Party's party leader Thorbjörn Fälldin.
The government took office after the 1976 parliamentary elections, in which the three non-socialist parties together received 50.8 percent of the votes, while the Socialist parties (formerly ruling Social Democrats and Leftist Communists) received a total of 47.5 percent. It was the first non-social democratic government in Sweden since the government of Pehrsson-Bramstorp in 1936.
Ministers
The government consisted of 20 ministers, 19 of whom came from the three government parties. The Center Party received eight government posts, the Moderates six and the People's Party five. The Minister for Justice was appointed an apolitical officer, former Justice Council Sven Romanus.
