Peter Kenez (born 1937) is a historian specializing in Russian history and Eastern Europe. He also teaches courses on Soviet cinema and an interdisciplinary course on the Holocaust with literature professor Murray Baumgarten.[1] He has taught at the University of California, Santa Cruz[2] since 1966 [3] He received his PhD from Harvard where his advisor was Richard Pipes.[4]
