Publius Cornelius Scipio Nasica Serapio (consul 111 BC)

Publius Cornelius Scipio Nasica Serapio (b. c. 153 BCE), son of Publius Cornelius Scipio Nasica Serapio and wife Caecilia Metella, was a Praetor in 118 BCE and a Consul in 111 BCE. He was the maternal great-grandson of Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus.

Family

He had two children:

1. Publius Cornelius Scipio Nasica born 128 BCE married Licinia Crassa Prima or Major, daughter of the orator Lucius Licinius Crassus and wife Mucia Tertia. He died during his praetorship in 93 BCE. By her, he had two sons:
   1. Publius Cornelius Scipio, later Quintus Caecilius Metellus Pius Scipio Nasica (adopted by his uncle/great uncle by marriage and father/grandfather's second cousin Quintus Caecilius Metellus Pius).
   2. (Lucius?) Cornelius Scipio, later Lucius Licinius Crassus Scipio (adopted by his maternal grandfather Crassus).
2. Cornelia Scipionis born in 125 BCE, married a man named Publius Cornelius M. f. Lentulus. With him, she had one son:
   1. Gnaeus Cornelius P. f. M. n. Lentulus
